And it’s Saturday again.
What a glorious sentence.
I’m currently getting cozy on the couch with a giant glass of green tea (with a splash of almond milk) next to my groovy boyfriend. Can life get any better than this?
If you read my Thankful Thursday post, you’ll know that I have been in Texas throughout the week. I came home on Thursday, so I was able to have a wonderful Friday night in with my main squeeze consisting of Thai Peanut Burrito Bowls and wine. I feel like I’m a bit of a broken record because we seem to have this kind of night all the time. But if you try those burrito bowls, you’ll understand. Oh boy, will you understand.
This week was super hectic, but I managed to snap a few pics of some randomness that made me super happy. So, without further adieu, here is A Week in the Life of a Food Blogger.
One of my favorite things to do throughout the week is to make Mark breakfast. It’s such a fun and simple way to show him just how much he means to me. And I know that he’ll be facing the day with a ton of energy and a full stomach.
His: my special over-easy eggs, hashbrowns, and some homemade granola
Hers: my favorite oatmeal (recipe coming soon) and a fuji apple
We made mojitos that night, and I had to snap a pic of the most perfect lime in the world. Also, shameless plug, follow me on Snapchat. ;) @fooduzzi
This was the most stereotypical “Texas” thing I saw all week.
Our flight back to Pittsburgh was scheduled to land around 8 PM, so we were lucky enough to catch the sunset airborne. This picture absolutely does not do it justice.
If you’ve never been to the Pittsburgh airport, here’s a little fun fact for ya: we have a dinosaur. #BestCityEver
Back in my wonderful city again. Friday was a B-E-A-UTIFUL day. This is one of my favorite buildings in the city because it always makes me feel like I’m in Game of Thrones.
Call me crazy, but getting new notebooks instantly makes my day 100 times better. Writing on the first page of a new notebook is like crack to me. Please tell me that I’m not alone here. Please. Anybody.
And because it’s not a week in the life a food blogger without some Chipotle, here was my lunch on Friday. I usually pack, but because I was out of town all week, I didn’t go grocery shopping. I’d say Chipotle was a fine substitution.
Oh, and I brought home the leftover guac for Mark because there is no better way to a man’s heart than with Chipotle.
Mark and I are going on a fall hike today (!!!), so I’ll be sure to snap some pics! What are you guys up to this weekend?
More importantly, are you enjoying these posts? I’m having fun writing them, but is there something you’d rather see from me on Saturdays?!

I love these posts! I enjoy getting to see what other bloggers are like behind the scenes. Fun fact: It used to be my job to count all of the money people throw in the airport dinosaur! :) (But it was actually dirty and very gross, haha)

Thanks so much, Sarah! Counting all of that money…I couldn’t imagine! There’s always piles of it in there!
