…more like three weeks.
Between getting our new kitten, Maya, work, life, travel, and Fooduzzi, life has definitely gotten the better of me these past few weeks! But my “A Week in the Life…” posts are back! Do you like them? Or is there something else you’d rather see from me on Saturdays?
Luckily, I’ve had a little time to sit back and enjoy this wonderful fall we’ve been having. Not only has Pittsburgh had some incredible fall weather, but I’ve also had some time to spend with the people (and kitten) I love. So although life has been hectic, I can’t complain one single bit.
Here’s what I’ve been up to lately:
A couple of weeks ago, Mark and I went on a looooooong hike through Frick Park here in Pittsburgh. Frick Park is full of trails, making it the perfect hiking destination for a novice like me! It was a tad bit chilly, but the woods, trees, and sky were absolutely breathtaking. We had SO much fun, and I’m already itching to get back out there!
Mark and I ended up going to my parents’ house for dinner. I made sure to be the best kind of guest and bring them a batch of freshly-baked cookies (you’ll find the recipe for these babies in my eCookbook)!
My dad is a great cook, so he decided to make us some Singapore Street Noodles from scratch! Seriously delish…I’ll have to see if he’ll share the recipe with me for the blog ;)
To get into the fall spirit, we carved pumpkins with one of our friends from college. Mark carved a cat face into his. Maya approved.
I grabbed coffee with a friend downtown, and I saw these adorable pumpkin spice latte cupcakes in the pastry case. Seriously…how dang cute are these?! Such a clever idea!
I spent some a ton of quality time snuggling with this little bugger.
They literally added emojis for two of my favorite foods in the entire world: tacos and popcorn. I swear, emojis are going to end up taking the place of actual words in texts. Which new emoji is your fav?!
I got SUCH a wonderful surprise in the mail this week – an Italian extravaganza from my friends over at DeLallo! I SERIOUSLY cannot wait to put this stuff to use! You guys are going to flip over the recipe ideas that are floating through my head ;)
What have you been up to? What are some of your favorite fall activities? I want to soak up as much of this glorious season as I can!
Have a wonderful, relaxing weekend, everyone! <3
