WAIT! Summer, come back!
I mean, if I’m being completely honest, I’m thrilled that it’s technically fall. THRILLED.
I love fall in all of its cool, scarfy, pumpkiny glory.
But guys. Corn. FREAKIN’ CORN. It has been making my life this summer, and I highly highly suggest you hold onto summer for one more night to make this.
It’s a silly-easy recipe. Like, so silly, this post is going to be fairly short. Because, let’s be honest, how much can one say about corn on the cob?
Corn on the cob is such a silly, simple thing, but it’s one of my faves. I had the greatest corn I’ve ever had just a few weeks ago – so sweet! so juicy! -, and I knew I needed to publish this recipe for ya.
But before we get to the recipe, I’m curious: how do you eat your corn on the cob?
This is a huge point of contention in my family. My dad and I eat our corn in circles, meaning that we eat our corn by turning it. My mom and brother are “typewriter” eaters, meaning that they eat their corn in lines like crazy people.
I’m convinced that “circle” eaters are far superior to their “typewriter”-eater counterparts, but let me know which you are in the comments!
So this recipe is very very simple:
- Cook your corn – I boil mine
- Roll it in your fat-of-choice – vegan butter, coconut oil, etc.
- Sprinkle on a shower of “Everything Bagel” seasoning – found at Trader Joe’s, Costco, pretty much any grocery store, online, or you can make your own!
Simple, tasty, so satisfying, and the perfect way to say, “see ya! ? ” to summer.
The Everything Bagel seasoning is made up of spices like sesame seeds, salt, garlic, onion, and poppy seeds, so it’s fabulously savory and crunchy on the corn!
