It feels like for-ev-er since I wrote on here for some reason. In all actuality, it has literally been three days, but still.
For-ev-er.
This week, much like last, has been insane. Just crazy busy all around.
And after a crazy day, the very last thing I want to do is work out. BUT I’ve been (somewhat) forcing myself to get moving after sitting on my butt for 12 hours a day. Usually I choose to do yoga, which I’ve been trying to do at least 3-4 times a week. But, surprise of all surprises, I’ve been getting into running.
And by “getting into” I mean that I’ve done it three times in the past two weeks. But still!
When I was a kid, I never really worried about exercise because I was so.dang.active all the time. Basketball! Softball! Soccer! Gymnastics! Dance! I was moving all.the.time.
So being motivated to exercise as an adult has been…tough to say the least. I’m just not used to it. But I’m trying! And I’m feeling really good moving, even if it’s only for 15 minutes before I fall over in a puddle of sweat.
Cue this juice. Could not be more simple or more delicious. Especially after a run. Remember when I promised you another ginger recipe in the not-so-distant future? Yep. Ms. Obsessed With Ginger, at it again.
We’ve made juice here before, with ginger nonetheless, but I’ve had a craving for it since the weather broke a bit last week. And blood oranges are still raving at the grocery stores (yes, raving), sooo this juice was pretty inevitable. The flavor is everything – sweet, slightly spicy, totally refreshing and perfect.
And that COLOR. Have you ever seen such a beautiful site?!
Feel free to swap out the blood oranges for any kind of orange you desire, but that blood orange color is really something special.
And the best part? You don’t need a fancy schmancy juicer to make this juice! You only need a blender and a strainer. Can I get a woot woot?!
Enjoy, friends!

I LOVVVVE blood oranges. This looks soooo good after a workout! I know what you mean about having to workout after the day, so I usually do it in the morning. I’m a huge yoga/Pilates lover with a mix of HIIT workouts. :)
