I mean…what a stunner, right?
I could stare at those swirly twirly whirls all day long.
Read MoreI. Love. Pasta.
I love twirling it, spearing it, and scooping it.
I love it with creamy sauces, tossed in herby sauces, loaded with tomato sauce, and delicately mixed with oily sauces.
Pasta is one of those ingredients that I almost have too much of at all times – it’s always there for me at the end of a long day. A comforting carb friend, if you will.
And the fact I can get it from the pantry to the kitchen table (or, in all quarantine seriousness, to the couch) in under 30 minutes makes me love it that much more.
While I think we can all agree that pasta is incredible, what’s not incredible is eating the same red sauce from a jar 4x a week.
These are some of the easiest pasta recipes I have here on the blog so you could, if you wanted, eat pasta every day of the week…for two weeks.
Not saying that you should. But if you wanted to, you’ll be ready.
Let’s roll:
Read MoreAlrighty, friends! My pursuit of posting new recipes this year is taking a bit of a pause. I’m not quitting posting on the blog, but new recipes will be a little more scarce these next few weeks.
It just doesn’t feel right to experiment with food/to buy more than we need/to go to the grocery store right now. Maybe that will change. But man. I’m just loving the idea of limiting my time spent anywhere but at home at the moment.
I also just…don’t have the mental capacity for it tbh. I go between kinda positive to totally freaked about 50 times a day. When 9pm rolls around, I’m ready to turn my mind off and snooze.
But as I was thinking about what I can post here, I got an idea. I am someone who grocery shops when bored. Not only in general, but bored with food. I see an ingredient in the pantry or fridge that we eat a lot, but I want something different. Something exciting.
Since we’re all trying to limit the time spent at the grocery store, I figured it might be helpful to think through what it would look like to make those pantry/fridge ingredients exciting again. Breathe new life into the not-so-fun ingredients we already have on hand.
I’m excited about this new mini series. And I hope you are too!

Lol.
We all know what’s up. And what’s up is a whole lot of weirdness, uncertainty, and staying indoors.
Since grocery stores are a bit of a madhouse right now and we’re all limiting our time spent there, I figured I’d show you what I ate in a day. Specifically this past Sunday!
My goal with this post is two-fold:
1. Entertainment. I not-so-secretly love reading “What I Ate in a Day” posts/watching “What I Ate” videos. Why? They’re entertaining and interesting!
2. Inspo. My meals are very much based in the staples we have on-hand. Oats, rice, beans, tofu, etc. Hopefully this post can help you get a little creative with your pantry this week!
Let’s do this.

I feel like you’re either really a soup person, or you’re very indifferent about soup. There’s no in-between.
Raving fan or lacking enthusiasm.
Obsessed or completely neutral.
“I could literally have it for every dinner” or “Meh, I’ll have it if it’s there.”
You. Can. Only. Be. One.

This is a love letter to three ingredients of bliss.
Almonds + dates + raspberry preserves/jam. That’s all you need for a snack that theoretically can last all week, but I’d be shocked if they last you three days.
