I owe an apology to Peanut Butter Lover’s Anonymous. I tote my devotion to the sticky, gooey, creamy spread of lovin’ all the time; however, peanut butter has been surprisingly absent from Fooduzzi since its inception. I am a horrible member of this organization. Please excuse my ignorance.

Remember when I was talking about my love for the show Parenthood? Well, the real reason why I even started to watch it in the first place was due to my immense love for Gilmore girls. Lauren Graham, the wonderful actress who played Sarah Braverman on Parenthood, stared as clever Lorelai Gilmore on Gilmore girls. I have re-watched every GG episode multiple times (in fact, I’m working my way through the series yet again. Rory just graduated from Chilton. Tear.) T.G.F.N. (Thank God for Netflix)

Tis the season for those little brats who come to our doors and tempt us with those addictive chocolate/coconut/caramel cookies, those better-when-frozen chocolate/mint wafers, and those I-could-eat-1000 oatmeal peanut butter sandwiches. But I’m allowed to call them “brats” because I was one of those brats.

I think it’s kind of ironic that I went into business school after my lack of entrepreneurial prowess in the Girl Scout cookie trade. I always capitalized on my mom and dad bringing the order form into work and getting their co-workers to support their hard-working Girl Scout daughter. Do you go to the gym? I have the luxury of a pretty swanky gym here on campus, so I’m trying to take advantage of it more this semester than in semesters past. I really appreciate the classes they offer – I’m seriously trying to get into yoga because I don’t have a bendable ligament in my body. I tolerate it, but I’m not in love with it, you know? But I do adore spin classes. Like. Love them. They have a way of totally clearing my mind and making me sweat out all of my anxieties and stresses.

It’s a beautiful, hot mess of a thing.

And I mean “hot mess” in the most literal way possible.

Chocolate-Dipped Nut-Stuffed Dates

Happy New Year! I was never one to go to some crazy party and stay up until the wee hours of the morning on New Years Eve. I never really saw the point, and, honestly, I value sleep a little too much. But I did end up going to one of my favorite restaurants, Tamari, last night with a group of friends from high school. We had a wonderful time, and the food was, of course, fabulous.

Do you have any resolutions for the big ol’ 2015? I wouldn’t say that I have a resolution list, per-say…I more have a list of things to do before we reach 2016. I figured I wouldn’t be setting myself up to fail by expecting all of these aspects of my life to change overnight – I am giving myself the entire year to accomplish them. To hold me accountable to said goals, here are a few:

1. READ – I loved to read as a kid, but I have definitely gotten away from it after I started college. I have a huge list of books to read until I start my big-person job in the summer: The Bell Jar, The Great Gatsby, Fahrenheit 451, Gone Girl, The Power of Habit, etc….have any other suggestions?

2. Focus on the good and stay positive – huge one for me. I’m sometimes a Debbie-Downer…which is so no fun for anyone.

3. Have weekend plans – I like to grocery shop and watch Netflix a little too much. Having plans = branching out = meeting new people = goodness.

4. Write – One of my biggest passions in life is to put pen to paper. I’m hoping to dedicate a little more time to this blog, too.

5. Eat mindfully – which brings me to…
